MAYBE WE WANTED TO BELIEVE THE LIE, JIMMY KIMMEL

THAT'S JIMMY KIMMEL, bursting onto the scene of the best video ever and ruining it by telling us it was a hoax. You killed my dreams, Jimmy. You killed my dreams.

Jimmy Kimmel, patron saint of the Internet's virginity, has meted out some stinging justice to fools who believe that the Internet is the birthplace of truth, that nothing on it is ever fake (except Nicki Minaj’s butt) and that if it has a picture and/or a video, that’s the digital equivalent of a poster putting his hand on a Bible and saying, “This shit is for reals!”

Last Friday, a video featuring a young twerkstress accidentally bursting into flames went viral, possibly because we all mentally inserted Miley’s face onto her butt as we watched it. (Watch Worst Twerk Fail EVER  here.) On Monday night on his show, Jimmy played a longer version of the video, in which he appears at the end and douses the flames, so to speak.

"To the conspiracy theorists on the Internet who thought the video was fake: You were right, it was fake," Kimmel said, adding that the girl in the video is actually a stuntwoman.
He personally thanked her “for helping us deceive the world and hopefully put an end to twerking forever."
And although my initial reaction is, "Wouldn't his time have been better spent helping the poor?", I must admit his heart was in the right place. He did it for us, you guys. He's practically Jesus.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Unfortunately his brain was not in the same place his heart was, because if he'd really want to end twerking forever, he would have allowed us to believe you actually CAN burst into flames while twerking.
