piggly wiggly birthday, brampton guardian, kate and william, prince george, party dresses,

My Piggly Wiggly, the future queen of England, will celebrate her first birthday this weekend. It's hard to believe she has been in my life for only one year, because it feels like she's been in my heart forever. I'm sure all mothers feel that way about their children. (Editor's note: But she's not your child. My note: *hacks editor's head off with wine aerator* PIGGLYHU AKBAR!) I'm not usually one to make a big, overpriced fuss about such things, but this little girl had a very rough first year during which she got far too familiar with stethoscopes and hospital beds. So yeah, we're making a fuss. Starting with the dress.

My daughter has been texting me various updates, then today, a conundrum: she'd narrowed Piggly's vast collection of dresses down to two. "They're so cute I can't decide," she said. "Can you break the tie?" I thought the choice was obvious, but to be sure, I asked a few of the good folks I work with, many of whom are ardent Piggly Wiggly fans (the others are dead to me). After asking just three people we'd already agreed on one thing: this is impossible. So, since this event will very likely be attended by Kate and Wills and possibly even the society page writer of the Brampton Guardian, I am hoping you'll help break the deadlock by taking the poll, below.
I'll share the results with you as well as a party pic of Piggly in the winning outfit. What, you want more than that? Jesus! Fine. I'll save you a piece of her gluten-free, dairy-free birthday cake. Nobody's gonna eat that shit anyway ...
